In support of Inception, Verizon partnered with Warner Bros. to create an integrated campaign that positioned the brand as a gateway into the film’s world through mobile technology. Built around the launch of Droid smartphones, the work focused on delivering exclusive, interactive content that rewarded curiosity and deepened fan engagement.
At the center of the campaign was the Mind Crime App, which gave users access to film details, artwork, music, trailers, and showtimes. The experience expanded into an exclusive mobile game, Inception: Mind Crime, along with personalized video moments that allowed fans to insert themselves into Inception-inspired scenes using green screen technology.
A dedicated digital hub extended the experience further, offering behind-the-scenes content, character playlists, wallpapers, and early access to soundtrack tracks. Cross-media executions, including mobile barcodes embedded in print, connected physical media directly to mobile content, reinforcing Verizon’s role as the conduit between audience, story, and technology.

As part of the creative team, I helped shape the narrative framework and interactive execution of the campaign across mobile, digital, print, and broadcast. The focus was on using emerging mobile capabilities to create experiences that felt additive to the film, not promotional interruptions.
Working within a tightly integrated ecosystem, the campaign highlighted Verizon’s technology leadership while maintaining narrative integrity within the Inception universe. Each touchpoint was designed to encourage exploration, repeat engagement, and personal participation, positioning mobile as an active storytelling platform rather than a passive channel.
