/ About the work

Marketing Success Season was Mailchimp’s annual flagship learning event, produced as a live virtual broadcast and evolving over three years from a campaign-led experience into a fully realized, design-driven platform. Each iteration reflected shifts in both product focus and how marketers needed to work, while using the flexibility of a virtual format to reach a broad, global audience.

Year One was tied to the Guess Less, Work More campaign. The broadcast focused on replacing intuition-led marketing with data-backed decision making, using clear, practical education to show how Mailchimp tools could help marketers act with more confidence and less guesswork.

Year Two aligned to the Clustomer campaign, reframing fragmented customer data as an opportunity for meaningful personalization. Programming centered on how automations, integrations, and insights could bring disconnected audiences together into cohesive customer experiences.

Year Three marked a shift away from a single campaign. Instead, we introduced a new visual design system built specifically for the virtual broadcast. The system used linework, modular boxes, and dimensional forms to express structure, flexibility, and connection, providing a unifying framework for content while allowing individual sessions to feel distinct.

Across all three years, Marketing Success Season translated complex ideas into accessible, actionable learning designed to help marketers prepare for the holiday season and beyond.

/ Engagement

As Creative Director, I led the creative direction for Marketing Success Season across all three years, shaping the experience as a cohesive virtual event while evolving the approach year over year. I partnered closely with external agencies and internal teams to ensure the creative translated seamlessly across pre-event marketing, broadcast graphics, set design, motion systems, and post-event marketing.

The creative system carried consistently across every touchpoint, including email, social, the event platform supporting the live broadcast, and on-demand video content following the event. I oversaw creative consistency from pre-event promotion through live execution and into post-event distribution, aligning show flow, environments, and content pacing into a polished, on-brand experience.

The result was a scalable virtual broadcast platform that grew in clarity, confidence, and craft while maintaining continuity across live and on-demand moments.
